Because many of our family and friends are unable to attend our wedding, we are hosting a cultural celebration of love, marriage, and community so we can honor our union together in a way that reflects the Velasco's Filipino roots.
This is not a wedding ceremony, but will be a joyful gathering centered on gratitude, family, tradition, and togetherness.
Our Journey Begins
Teonette and Mike met through a very exclusive dating app called Tinder.
Their first date took place at Coffee Bar 1010 which was chosen carefully, just in case one of them turned out to be a serial killer. Teonette was understandably skeptical… and to be fair, she couldn’t even remember Mike’s name for a few weeks, referring to him as either 'Sams' or 'Cyber Guy'.
Her expectations were low...real low. Mike's expectations were met when Teonette showed up to the date.
Somehow, despite all odds, one date turned into two, an igloo was purchased, a dog was used as an excuse to get Teonette into Mike's house, and that first meeting blossomed into a loving relationship.
Through shared adventures, trips, and quiet nights in, their experiences together continued to bring them closer. What began with curiosity and caution grew into trust, laughter, and a deep partnership.
Now, united in marriage, Teonette and Mike are excited to celebrate their love with friends and family, especially those who couldn’t be there for the wedding but are very much part of their journey.
